He buys a wetsuit off of the website eBay, which he wears under his normal clothing, begins exercising, and practices things like walking on roofs, satisfying his ambitions for a time. He eventually seeks to fight crime, with his first attempt leading him to receive a severe beating and stabbing by thugs, followed by his wandering into the street and being hit by a car. He retains his secret identity by stripping off and hiding his costume before paramedics arrive.

Hey IITS Readers,

Just a quick update today in the form of a video of the Gordo's Island model that Alex Mathis created for Project IITS. The video itself was also captured by Alex...I just threw it up on YouTube.



A few notes about the island...the area with water is an open air, steam bath grotto that can be entered from the outside as well as an interior entrance. The tent like structures in the branches of the trees are the sleeping areas...you can sometimes catch a glimpse of a bubble window from some of the camera passes. For those of you who read the book, that would be where Kayli is found sleeping at the start of the story.

As far as the world goes, you would likely see many other islands nearby and in the distance as well as a lot of creatures flying through the air but this is specifically showcasing Gordo's Island. Anyway, hope y'all like it. =)

Commentary:

* And we have a new #1: The third Dork Diaries volume is finally released, and takes the top two slots with its Kindle & print editions.

* The only hint that there's a #1-at-the-box-office X-Men movie at the theaters is the Astonishing X-Men Omnibus about halfway up the list. Not bad for an expensive hardcover, but when you consider that the Simonson Thor Omnibus reached the top 5, this is a bit disappointing as far as coattails go.

* Only three new titles this week, all in the second half of the list: a new Dark Tower; a new Fullmetal Alchemist; and Anya's Ghost.

* I'm not really sure why three of the Bone color collections showed up on this list this week...
