Hey IITS Readers and Various Peoples,

I've been juggling various projects and trying to keep them afloat so I apologize for the lack of updates but I got a neat little treat for you today. My friend and ex-coworker, Alex Mathis, just recently sent me some screenshots of the model of Gordo's Island I contracted him to do for Project IITS. He said it's not done yet (artists, feh!) but it certainly is nice enough to show here. Enjoy!

Sorry to say that Free Comic Book Month 7 is ending early; no more entries will be accepted. Also, this will likely be the last time I do Free Comic Book Month.

Over the course of seven years, I have given away 721 comics to 295 people. Hopefully you all have enjoyed your comics. It's been (mostly) fun, but all good things must come to an end.

Commentary:

* The top debut this week is Castle: Deadly Storm, the Marvel-produced tie-in graphic novel for the television series. It doesn't come out until September, but got a big push at the start of the season finale earlier this week.

* Marvel also have the other debuts this week: Fantastic Four by John Byrne Omnibus up at #14; and Ultimate Comics: Doomsday sneaking in at #49.

* Thor by Walter Simonson Omnibus slips a good bit to #20 this week; but still, it's several week run in the top 10 is quite impressive for at $100+ book.

* Wimpy Kid 5 remains at the top, though slipping to #153 on the overall chart.

* The top debut this week belongs to Lunch Lady and the Summer Camp Shakedown, cracking the top ten. If you're not familiar with Lunch Lady, you probably don't have kids

* The big Thor by Walt Simonson Omnibus continues to do well in advance of the movie's release, bucking the trend as movies based on super-heroes don't usually give a push to one particular collection.

* A pre-order for an oversized Priest collection gives TokyoPop a rare hit in advance of the movie. If they ever actually ship it in June...

* Fables vol. 14 squeaks back onto the list at #50, and at #3,300 overall hints to this being a fairly weak week for comic sales on Amazon.
